Well, we are already on Plan B and we haven't gotten underway. Two weeks ago my fever jumped to 103 and I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Later strep throat and sinusitis was added to the mix. Finally after two weeks I am nearly mended. I shared some bugs with Carol and she is recovering also. It looks like our new departure date is around July 5th.

This late departure meant our cruising in Georgian Bay and the North Channel was going to be significantly curtailed... So, plan B was developed. See the Map above. Our tentative cruise plan follows:

o North in the Chesapeake Bay through the C&D Canal
o Down the Delaware Bay to Cape May, New Jersey
o Up the New Jersey Coast to New York City
o Up the Hudson River to Troy, New York
o 6 days on the Erie Canal to Oswego, New York
o 8 days cruising the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence River
o 7 days cruising Rideau Canal from Kingston to Ottawa, Ontario (See the new link on the Rideau.)
o Visit Ottawa
o Cruise the Ottawa River to Montreal, Quebec
o Down the St Lawrence River from Montreal to Sorel, Quebec
o South on the Richelieu River and Chambly Canal to Lake Champlain
o 2 weeks cruising Lake Champlain
o Down the Hudson and 2 weeks cruising Long Island Sound
o 16-19 September MYSTIC ROSE is in the Newport International Boat Show
o Return to Chesapeake Bay via Long Island Sound, New Jersey Coast and Delaware Bay

Considering this is the second cruise plan and we haven't taken in the lines, stay tuned for updates. We will try for Georgian Bay again next summer.
