I have a new tripod ball, a remote trigger and thought I would try out the 70-400mm lens on the birds visiting the bird feeder. The birdfeeder was in the shade so I put a SB800 on a stand an set it in the corner of the birdfeeder and triggered from the flash on the Nikon D200 to get good light at ISO 100 and 1/250sec. The picture of the pine cones was taken with a 2x doubler added to the lens for an effective 1200mm equivalent for a 35mm SLR. Hope you enjoy the pictures. There are 5 pictures.
