A six inch tree, one hundred years old. OK it's not Washington. I was in the high desert sitting on a rock taking in the wide panarama north of Barstow, California when this little tree caught my eye. We use to care for Bonsai and often would hunt for wild aged specimens. At one time I would have havested this old soul and cared for it in a pot. This day I only captured it with a camera and returned it to the wild. It seemed happier for that decision.
