This is the last evening of an early season cruise with friends. On Friday April 16th four boats rendezvoused in the historic town of Chestertown, MD for a walk about town and dinner ashore. The second day and night was spent in downtown Baltimore, MD. Those unfamiliar with cruising the Chesapeake Bay might think that a large commercial city is the last place they would want to visit by boat but, the revitalized Inner Harbor has great marinas with excellent restaurants, shops and museums with within just a few short blocks of most of the marinas.
On Sunday three of us rafted up behind Gibson Island, MD off the Magothy River. The weather for all three days had been incredible for April. We had snacks on one boat, dinner on the next and desert on the third... life is good. |
